Property Council seeks replacement for Troy Bramston

20 June 2012 – Updated 26 June 2012 – The Property Council of Australia is looking for a new national government relations manager to replace Troy Bramston, who left in late 2011, and is now a writer and columnist for The Australian, a former principal speech writer for Kevin Rudd, regular contributor to Sky News and author of Looking for the Light on the Hill: Modern Labor’s Challenges (Scribe, 2011).
The successful applicant will be “an experienced government relations/public affairs professional to shape public policy at a national level”, an advertisement says. “You will be responsible for championing the industry’s interests to federal policy makers (and) will also build strong relationships with key national political, government and media stakeholders, monitor the political and legislative processes, manage key advocacy-related projects and various corporate communication responsibilities including strategic media management and campaigns”.
