About the role
The Project Officer – Urban Heat will primarily focus on driving and delivering the City’s urban heat reduction actions as identified in the City of Parramatta’s Environmental Sustainability Strategy. Some of this work will cross-link with other sustainability goals and actions.

About the person
As the ideal candidate you will have a passion for improving environmental outcomes combined with a high level of communication and project management skills, and commitment to work as part of a team. You will also have the knowledge and negotiation skills to advocate effectively for environmentally and socially sustainable outcomes.

You will have strong set of technical competencies and experience to bring to the position resulting from a background in environmental sustainability, natural resource management, environmental education or communication, built environment or similar fields.

What’s on offer
We are offering a full-time 3 year contract and an attractive salary starting from $88,923 p.a. plus Super. The City of Parramatta also offer excellent employee benefits which can be accessed by the successful candidate.
