Melinda van der Westhuizen has joined ISPT as general manager, commercial services.

Melinda van der Westhuizen has joined ISPT as general manager, commercial services.

She was previously head of property and asset management for JLL in Victoria and comes with a background in the retail and commercial sector, as well as with boards in the not for profit sector.

Ms van der Westhuizen is taking over from Craig Blake, who’s been acting in the role since 2018.

JLL’s chief executive officer Australia, Stephen Conry, has been elected as the new National President of the Property Council of Australia.

Energetics has appointed its chief operating officer Dr Mary Stewart to chief executive officer. She’s spent 17 years in senior consulting and leadership roles at the consulting company.

She is taking over from the company’s CEO since 2006 Tony Cooper, who will remain with the business as executive director.

Two years ago, Dr Stewart to was chosen to represent the Business Council for Sustainable Development Australia on the innovation and research, development and demonstration task force of the UNFCCC’s Technology Executive Committee.

Richard Day is now the director of the Low Carbon Industry Development at the Department for Energy and Mining in South Australia.

He was formerly the acting director of the Low Carbon Economy Unit within the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

Professor Corinne Reid will join Victoria University in Melbourne as the new Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research).

Professor Vasso Apostolopoulos will be appointed Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Partnerships) at the university.
