Circular Quay Tower aims high on wellness

The soon-to-be-built Circular Quay Tower in Sydney is the city’s first to receive Platinum Core and Shell pre-certification under the WELL Building Standard.

The 55-storey Lendlease building, designed by Foster + Partners, will see fresh air rates 50 per cent higher than building code minimums, and a focus on natural light and connection to nature.

The building’s exterior imitates the form of a tree, which Lendlease said was part of the biophilic design story.

“More and more, tenants are seeking out workplaces that support a healthy environment,” Lendlease Property project director Kimberley Jackson said.

“This new WELL certification for Circular Quay Tower, the first in Sydney for a yet to be constructed project, demonstrates we’re well on the way to delivering a building that will achieve just this.”
