Cushman & Wakefield on Thursday announced it had acquired Adelaide based facilities managers Smith Brothers Group

Global real estate services group Cushman & Wakefield said the acquisition will expand its Australian team by around 200 to take total numbers to around 2000 in Australia and extend its customer base by around 6000.

As part of the deal, Smith Brother’s founder, Chris Smith, will head Cushman & Wakefield’s Australia and New Zealand trade services division. 

Cushman & Wakefield’s Asia Pacific chief executive officer Matthew Bouw said: “I am thrilled to welcome Chris Smith and the team to Cushman & Wakefield. This acquisition combined with our 27,000+ facilities management associates globally, advances our ability to deliver the highest quality, globally integrated services to major occupier clients in any market across the world.”
