The ongoing $200 million upgrade program for Melbourne’s iconic Rialto building reached another milestone this week, with the formal awarding of a 5.5 Star NABERS IEQ rating.
It is the highest IEQ rating achieved to date by any Victorian commercial property.
The owners, Rialto Joint Venture, have been working with JLL Energy and Sustainability Services and consultants Ausnviro on a package of initiatives across indoor environment quality, energy, water and waste.
A substantial redevelopment is also underway, with new commercial, retail and public spaces designed by Woods Bagot currently under construction.
