6 February 2014 — Blacktown City Council is looking for an environmental sustainability systems operator for a contract for up to 12 months.

The successful applicant will facilitate the coordination of issues associated with environmental sustainability, develop systems and processes that support the achievement of more sustainable decision-making across the council’s operations and establish monitoring and reporting protocols in order to achieve improved sustainability outcomes for the council’s operations.
The successful applicant must have relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in current environmental sustainability issues and proven project management skills, with a strong record of achievement in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating a broad range of programs/projects. Local government experience is desirable.
Access to flexible working arrangements are provided, and the opportunity to participate in a nine-day fortnight.
