Clear your diary on 16 July for the online NABERS + CBD Conference, with a speaker lineup that’s packed with the leaders driving sustainability in the built environment such as the Minister for Energy and Emissions Reduction Angus Taylor, NSW minister for energy and environment Matt Kean, Green Building Council of Australia’s Davina Rooney and host of hit ABC series War on Waste Craig Reucassel.
Attendees will hear from CEOs of major peak industry bodies, heads of sustainability of major ASX 100 companies, and senior building sustainability professionals. Check out the full list of speakers.
With the theme of the 2020 conference “working together for a sustainable future”, it’s fitting that this year’s event will be online and so bigger than ever – NABERS users, Assessors, sustainability professionals and anyone else interested in making the built environment more sustainable will be there to learn how to drive the sustainability agenda together.
The conference will showcase the latest advances in building sustainability with demonstrations of NABERS’ innovative technology. The conference will also include high-calibre masterclasses, workshops and panel discussions in a jam-packed agenda.
The NABERS+CBD 2020 Conference is organised by the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE), National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS) program and the Commonwealth government’s Commercial Building Disclosure (CBD) program – some of Australia’s leading sustainability initiatives in the built environment.
Since it was established in 1998, NABERS has directly resulted in the built environment saving around 7 million tonnes of CO2 emissions and around $1 billion in energy costs.
