City of Sydney: Planning Program Manager – Sustainability

 

  • $132,051 per annum plus Superannuation
  • Full time term contract until 30 June 2021
  • Option to work a 19 day month

The City of Sydney is a leader in sustainability with a commitment to achieving strong environmental targets set in our Sustainable Sydney 2030 vision.

The City is seeking an experienced sustainability professional to lead the delivery of planning and development related actions to improve the environmental performance of the City’s residents, workers and visitors in line with our environmental strategies and action plans.

With significant expertise in sustainability combined with experience in the building, planning, development, architecture or construction fields you will be focused on implementing planning and development related actions from the City’s Environmental Action Plan 2016-2021. This includes improving the capacity of planning staff to implement improvement environmental outcomes.

You will work closely with a team of strategic planners and across the Planning, Development and Transport Division and other council divisions while fostering relationships with a range of external stakeholders to deliver environmental improvements through planning and development policies, controls, systems and process.

Excellent communication skills are needed for collaborating, liaising and negotiating with stakeholders and you will have a proven record of delivering diverse projects within scope, budget and strict timelines.
