Jobs news: Cladding Safety Victoria, Josh Byrnes & Associates; NABERS

Pru Goward, former NSW Minister for Family and Community Services and former Australian Sex Discrimination Commissioner, has joined Western Sydney University as professor of social interventions and policy.

Esther Bailey is leaving the City of Sydney as sustainability engagement manager to join NABERS as head of market development.

Dan O’Brien has been appointed the new chief executive officer for Cladding Safety Victoria, which was set up by the state government to oversee a $600 million program of rectification works on hundreds of buildings with high-risk cladding.

Mr O’Brien has experience across a range of private and public sector roles, including as chief of staff to former Victorian premier John Brumby.

He’s also held roles at NAB, Medibank Private and VicTrack and most recently been chief executive of Incolink.

Josh Byrnes & Associates has recently expanded operations and will be co-locating in the HIP V. HYPE offices in Brunswick, Melbourne.

Senior landscape architect Hannah Lindsay will head up the Victorian JBA team that will deliver landscape design, sustainability and communication services from the Melbourne offices.

After six years as head of the technical team at NABERS, Dennis Lee is taking his leave to spend some time with his young family. He will return to work in 2020 in a new role in sustainable built environment. 

Dr John Hewson has been appointed chairman of the Goulburn Community Energy Co-op board, which built a 1.8 MW community owned solar farm outside of Goulburn.
