Lucid in growth mode in Adelaide and Melbourne

Engineering company Lucid Consulting Australia is boosting its sustainability team nationally, looking to hire ESD/sustainability engineers for its Adelaide and Melbourne offices.
The engineering firm has six offices around Australia and more than 160 employees nationally.
SA team leader and senior sustainability engineer Roman Charles said the company was experiencing increased demand for its services in South Australia and Victoria.
“Due to recent success and growth, we have decided to restructure and strengthen our team and currently have two positions available in our Adelaide and Melbourne offices,” he said.
Lucid is looking for intermediate to senior ESD/sustainability engineers for a broad range of project sectors including environmental performance, large-scale renewable energy and complex building upgrades.
While there’s been a lot of interest in the Adelaide role, Mr Charles said it was difficult to find candidates with the correct skill set.
“There is definitely a strong interest in sustainability, energy efficiency and renewable energy, especially when speaking with students or university graduate engineers – that is something that they are passionate about. However, for these two positions we are looking for experienced engineers that can manage projects and assist our national team in delivering complex projects,” he said.
“Finding staff with the right skills and experience can be more difficult in Adelaide as Melbourne and Sydney have a larger population,” he said.
The roles will cover Green Star, NABERS, energy audits, mechanical upgrades, feasibility analyses and renewable energy. They require strong technical and communication skills and previous exposure to building services as a mechanical or electrical engineer.
“We have secured a strong pipeline of projects and are eager to find talented people to grow our team in South Australia and nationally,” Mr Charles said.
