Sustainability consultancy Edge Environment has appointed investment specialist Mark Rogers to its board as a non-executive director.

Mr Rogers is a well-known member of the Australian investment community with 20 years’ experience in the infrastructure, natural resources and energy sectors, and is currently managing director of sustainable real assets investment manager New Forests.

He was previously director, direct infrastructure with Colonial First State Global Asset Management, regulatory affairs manager at Origin Energy and is currently deputy chair of the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia.

“Mark adds indisputable experience, skills and reputation to our thinking,” Edge Environment chair and co-founder Tom Davies said.

“He understands infrastructure and investment businesses and has a proven track record in helping them on-board the principles of sustainability. We couldn’t be happier to have him on our side.”

Mr Rogers said Edge was pushing the boundary on sustainability.

“I am looking forward to working with Edge on their board to explore where their business can grow and to help push their innovative thinking and results driven culture.” he said.

“I’m equally interested in how this innovation can be used by investors to protect and enhance their investments and I think there is wonderful synergy in the two skill sets coming together.”
